Résumé :The etiology of dissociation as mainly due to child abuse is discussed. The BASK (Behavior, Affect, Sensation, and Knowledge) model and other theoretical concepts of dissociation are reviewed in preparation for a discussion of treatment of the survivor of incest with a dissociative disorder. Thirteen issues in their treatment are discussed, and five case examples are presented, including one case of the extreme type of incest: satanic ritualistic abuse.
